VK Vegitel Aerospace Tours:

From Russia with love

Even strong frosts this year are unable to discourage tourists from discovering the world of cosmonautics. Besides, Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center at Star City looks as astonishing in winter as in summer.

Our French guest didn’t fear colds neither. The beginning of February was marked by another tour to Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center. Sebastian’s wife asked us to arrange the tour programme as a gift to her loved one.

After a quick medical examination, Sebastian and his friend could feel the sensations of cosmonauts wearing a Sokol spacesuit. This legendary spacesuit is a protective one and it is not designed for extravehicular activity but in case of depressurization the crew will be saved. Sokol can last the cosmonauts up to 125 minutes in vacuum. Even just to touch this masterpiece created by Russian engineers evokes a reverent thrill, let alone trying it on yourself!

Sebastian and his Russian friend now know what to do if they ever have to put on spacesuits. Whether they enjoyed it or not we shall let you judge for yourself by the photos.
