52 photos

On the 14th of March at 10:14 pm (Moscow time) it once more roared at the Baikonur cosmodrome. A spacecraft with a crew of three onboard was launched into space: A. Ovchinin, N. Hague and C. Koch. The MS-12 crew emblem was almost a copy of the MS-10 crew emblem, the spacecraft-launch of which went down in history as the first unsuccessful one since 1983 (!). Even strong frosts this year are unable to discourage tourists from discovering the world of cosmonautics. Besides, Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center at Star City looks as astonishing in winter as in summer. Our French guest didn’t fear colds neither. The beginning of February was marked by another tour to Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center. Sebastian’s wife asked us to arrange the tour programme as a gift to her loved one.

Shooting of Mongolian TV program «Meeting of friends»

Year 2011 is the year of 50th anniversary of space flight of Yuri Gagarin who became pioneer of human space flights for all the mankind. After that in many countries there were their own pioneers, Jugderdemid Gurragcha is the first cosmonaut of Mongolia, who carried out his flight to space 30 years ago. The expedition of Soyuz-39 lasted from 22nd to 30th of March 1981. 22nd of March 2011 is the anniversary of first Mongolian cosmonaut’s flight, and this year such important date for cosmonautics also will attract attention.

Our company organized a special project of documentary film shooting for Mongolian television named “Meeting of friends” from 27th of February to 10th of March. The main crew of Soyuz-39 Vladimir Dzhanibekov and Jugderdemid Gurragcha and back-up crew Vladimir Lyahov and Maidarjav Ganzorig met 30 years later after their historical flight. During the filming cosmonauts shared their memories about the flight, training period, about the aims of the expedition and difficulties during the flight, they discussed the future of cosmonautics. It was really historical meeting of good friends and heroes of cosmonautics.

To make the filming mostly true to life and interesting we organized the filming on the most significant objects of aerospace field in Russia where the heroes of the film worked 30 years ago – Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center, Mission Control Center, cosmodrome Baikonur, Memorial museum of cosmonautics.
