DATE AND PLACE OF BIRTH:

October 12, 1971, Cherven, Minsk region, Byelorussian SSR.

EDUCATION:

1994 – graduated from Kachinsk Higher Military Pilot School and was qualified as a pilot engineer;

2006 – graduated from the Command Department of Yu.A. Gagarin Air-Force Academy.

2015 – graduated from The Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration and was qualified as a magister of State and Municipal administration.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

From October 1994 to September 2004 he served as a pilot, a master pilot, deputy commander of the air squadron of assault aviation regiment (AAR) of the 4-th Air Army and 4-th AF and ADF Army, North-Caucasian MD.

Upon graduation from the Academy in 2006 he served as commander of AAR air squadron of the 4-th AF and ADF Army.
On February 2007 he was recommended to be appointed to a post of a candidate for cosmonauts of CTC detachment.

February, 2007 – he began general space training course which he completed on June, 2009 having passed graduation examinations with an excellent mark.

June, 2009 – at the meeting of the Interdepartmental Qualification Committee he was qualified as a test cosmonaut
August, 2009 – March, 2010 – passed space training course on ISS program.

March, 2010 – May, 2012 – participated in training as ISS-31/32 backup crew member, ISS onboard engineer, commander of Soyuz TMA-04 spacecraft.

May, 2012 – October, 2012 – participated in training as ISS-33/34 prime crew member, ISS onboard engineer, commander of Soyuz TMA-06 spacecraft.

December, 2014 – July, 2016 – participated in training as ISS-48/49 backup crew member, ISS onboard engineer, commander of Soyuz MS spacecraft.

Since July, 2016 he participates in training as ISS-50/51 prime crew member, ISS onboard engineer, commander of Soyuz MS-03 spacecraft.

SPACE FLIGHT EXPERIENCE:

Oleg NOVITSKIY performed his first space flight at a period of October 23, 2012 to March 16, 2013 as Soyuz TMA-06M commander and ISS-33/34 onboard engineer. The mission duration was 143 days.
